Yvonne Devany

“One of the greatest aspects of my job is sharing continuous feedback from our clients which we receive
through letters, calls, and emails”, relates Yvonne Devany, a twelve year veteran of Supportkids. A
quote that she references as being one of her favorites comes from Ms. Bernard of Louisiana, “Thank
you for making the impossible happen. You have helped me regain my dignity, and today is the first
time that I truly feel at ease. Your efforts are priceless”.
As Vice-President of Client and Government Relations, Yvonne communicates with custodial parents
who are vocal about their struggles and needs. “The money collected by Supportkids allows families
to purchase necessities, or it may contribute to “extras” like camp, sports, and fun weekend
activities. What we do is important, and we improve the standard of living for many of our clients”,
stresses Yvonne.
“While we may not be able to assist everyone, it is crucial that parents have options,” explains
Yvonne. “It’s also important to me that Supportkids continues to grow so more families can benefit
from our services. We truly make a difference for families who have gone years without support.”
Employees such as Yvonne will certainly help Supportkids towards that goal. She is a long-time
employee, having joined the company in 1994. A seasoned veteran, she consistently participates in
projects which include strategic planning, operations management, and culture initiatives. It’s
also important to her to lead client programs such as the annual Adopt a Family program which
raises money for clients during the holiday season.
Yvonne is particularly motivated to assist custodial parents. Her mother did not receive court
ordered child support and she says, “My family takes pride in the fact that I work at Supportkids.
The fact that I help parents through the same struggle my Mom faced is meaningful to me.”
A native of Central Texas, Yvonne attended the University of North Texas in Denton. She is
married and the mother of two growing girls. She volunteers her time as a Board Member for
YMCA-CFA, mentors at Clayton Elementary, and is involved in the Girl Scouts of America program.
Through her work and personal contributions, it is clear that families and children are
influential to Yvonne and her efforts.
