Bryon Sehlke

Bryon Sehlke’s career has literally taken him around the world. His concern for family helped bring him home to Texas and to Supportkids.
Trained as an aerospace engineer, Sehlke began his career as a project manager for a Washington, D.C.-based technology firm, where he served as a consultant on Space Shuttle payloads and helped design and install a major computer network at the Import-Export Bank of the United States. He then joined the Central Intelligence Agency as an intelligence analyst, serving in domestic and overseas posts.
After four years with the CIA, he was ready to come home. He returned to Texas and worked for several established and start-up firms in a variety of industries before joining Supportkids. Mr. Sehlke joined Supportkids as the company's Controller in 2000 and held the position of Chief Operating Officer before being promoted to CEO in 2006. A native of George West, Texas between San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Sehlke is married and has three boys.
He was drawn to Supportkids because of the variety and challenges the job brings, and adds, "Supportkids' mission is a clear plus for me." As CEO, Sehlke works with all elements of the organization as well as investors and key partners. His keen eye for operations coupled with strong financial and analytical skills, make Bryon an excellent leader within the Supportkids family.
"One of our clients is quoted in a commercial as saying 'The best thing about Supportkids, it was simple. They just collected the money.' While I'm happy that our client has that perspective, nothing could be further from the truth. This is a difficult, complex business - dealing with custodial parents, non-custodial parents, government agencies, and the various laws and regulations in 50 states and at the federal level. At the same time, I love the challenge and the immense reward of our mission.
Sehlke holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in aerospace engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
